Visitor Information

The Open Studios event is an informal and friendly way to meet artists and to view their work. Each venue displays a red banner, and the overview map shows all the venues so that you can plan your route. You can look up individual artist's detail on The Artists page. Opening days and times vary, so it's worth checking the specific information of the artists you are particularly interested in.

You can expect a warm welcome at all our venues. In some locations the garden will be open or refreshments offered. In many cases you will be visiting someone's home, and the space and style of display will vary accordingly.  Everyone is welcome -  we simply ask that you respect the artists' property and space when you visit.

Entry to each venue is free. All the artists will have original work for sale and many will have cards and prints available. Many will also take commissions. There is, of course, absolutely no obligation to buy anything. Visitors are welcome simply to have a look round, to talk to the artists, and to learn about the techniques and materials involved in their work.

Please note that the exhibitors do not generally accept credit cards, but cash or cheques with a guarantee card are welcome.

Directions
For detailed directions we have provided a Google Maps link for each venue. We also provide a general map indicating the locations of the venues so that you may plan your route.

The printed Open Studios Directory
This is available approximately one month before the event and provides a handy guide for visitors  as well as serving as a year round directory of artists in the area.

It is distributed to key venues in the area, including Tourist Information, libraries, theatres, galleries, shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as being hand delivered by individual participants to their local areas.

When the directory is published you can download it by clicking on the icon on the right or if you would like a copy posted to you, please contact us.

Liability
The Peterborough Artists' Open Studios Group cannot accept liability for any loss, damage or injury sustained by any member of the public visiting the studios. The public does so entirely at their own risk.

Access
As these are domestic properties, we are unable to offer specialist access for disabled visitors but will endeavour to give appropriate assistance when required. You are welcome to telephone the venues in advance if you wish to discuss your requirements.

Copyright
The copyright for all images on this site and for all works on display is owned by the individual artists.
