Julie’s work evokes a feeling of calm and stillness and creates a spontaneous narrative connection with the viewer – in the next moment the glass could be sipped from, the bowl taken from the shelf for food, the vase for flowers, the food prepared and chopped. ‘I intend to capture the beauty, stillness and pure consciousness of a brief moment in time.’
