I have been painting professionally for a few years now and mostly specialise in encaustic wax and watercolours. I also run very popular workshops in encaustic wax.

I am extremely passionate about encaustic wax. It is such a wonderful medium to use. It is quick and easy to manipulate and detailed pictures such as large traditional style landscapes, fantasies and modern abstracts can be achieved through melting the coloured wax with a hot iron, stylus and/or hotplate. The techniques are very easy to learn and I still find it quite fascinating to see a picture emerge from such material.

My watercolour flowers are very popular and are a joy to produce with subjects always being available to paint. I often produce prints and cards from my originals which are also popular. I work in a very traditional style, a sort of loose botanical style to show the detail of the flowers. Most of my watercolours are worked wet into wet which gives a wonderful light and tone to the petals and leaves.
