My first contact with clay was in the
early 90’s going to an evening class with two friends to
try something different, that was it I loved clay.
Unfortunately the class was not supported enough and had
to close. Not long after this my mother-in-law sadly
passed away, she bequeathed me a small gift to fulfill a
dream, I put my dream in a personal account to think
about what to do. It was there for 3 years then one day
out of the blue I was offered a kiln .I decided a big
garden shed is what I needed, and my pottery was born. In
1997 I purchased equipment, and my journey had begun. I
really knew nothing about pottery, since attending Brook
Street College and self learning, I have obtained NCFE 1,
2 & 3 and at this present time I am taking NCFE 3 Art
& Design. I like to give myself new challenges with
clay and yes I still love it.
