Nathera is a mother of 4 born in Iraq.
Her work reflects her life. Themes of womanhood,
motherhood and goddesshood are all apparent in her work.
Some of her finest sculptures are inspired by ancient and
prehistoric goddess archetypes such as the Sumerian
goddesses, as well as iconic representations of female
power such as the Venus of Willendore. Modern and
abstract representations of the female form also feature
heavily in her work. She is adept in both sculpture and
fine art, and her work is known for richness and vibrancy
in both colour and texture. Above all Nathera’s work
reveals without apology the elegant beauty of the female
form in all her ages and seeks to remind womankind of the
natural and gentle authority that has been so suppressed
in modern times.
