The Willow Festival Art Village. Calling artists and craftspeople
There will be a new exciting addition to the Willow festival this year: The Art Village. The Willow Festival (25th-27th May 2012) is one of the biggest national live music festivals which will take place in our city on the embankment. By 2003 it had attracted 50,000 visitors. Active Interiors is working alongside Mark Ringer Willow Festival organiser to create something interesting and interactive. The village will be comprised of 8 3mx3m marquees. There has already been much interest in the ethos behind this village and marquees are being booked up.
There is no charge to hire a marquee. It is ABSOLUTELT FREE. The fine/decorative artist or craftsperson must demonstrate and offer an activity but will be allowed to also sell items. You can promote yourself as much as you want and sell as much as you want but the educational and community side of the project is essential. The traders in the shopping area of the Willow festival have to pay £200-£300 for a marquee so you must provide a good interactive or educational activity if you participate. If you enjoy this kind of exhibiting, the excitement of festivals or you simply want a new experience in a relaxed atmosphere with organisers who will help and guide you, then contact Dawn Birch-James of Active Interiors as soon as possible at info@activeantiques.com or 07986 609141 to get a booking form. Deadline for form submission Friday 16th March

Publicity Opportunity
Dawn Birch-James, Harriet’s Art Gallery Manager has succeeded in getting a very good ad and editorial offer with a local lifestyle magazine for local artists. The offer is available because she has recruited already a good number of interested artists to form an Artist Directory with an accompanying art section in the magazine. The art section will continue as a regular feature in each issue. It will showcase recruited artists and will eventually have other interesting editorial. If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, then contact dawn on 07986 609141 or email dawn@activeantiques.com
