PE3 6HA Click here for map View my website [<< Back] | Kay loves working with colour and their interactions, which is a never-ending challenge and curiosity for her. Working in both the mediums of Mosaic and Textile gives her the latitude for colour play and exploration.
Kay completed a mosaic course at the Mosaic Art school in Ravenna (Italy) in 2002, under the direction of Luciana Notturni. Luciana is one of the few master mosaicists in the world allowed to restore old masterpieces. Although based on traditional techniques the course inspired her to develop her own pieces using stained glass, smalti and tile, and has reinforced her confidence in the use of colour and its interactions.
Kay is a member of the British Association for Modern Mosaic and the Embroiderers Guild.
Kay will be participating in Still Working Exhibition at The Victoria Hall, Oakham from 6-13th May, and will be deomonstrating her work at the launch weekend of Open Studios on 19th/20th May 2012 in Cathedral Square. Weekends: 1,2 and 3
