Peterborough and the surrounding area is home to a number of talented creative artists and craftspeople producing a variety of interesting work including painting, printing, jewellery, recycled art, spinning, stone carving and much more.
Since 2000, Peterborough Artists' Open Studios has been providing an opportunity for public to visit artists' studios and homes, and to talk to the artists who produce this exciting range of work. For many people, the chance to meet the artist, and to see their working environment, makes this event more engaging than visiting a gallery.
In our first event, 2 artists exhibited at a single venue. During 2011 over 50 artists could be visited at 34 locations.
Artists
As an artist or craftsperson, you can easily participate in the open studios event, and add your information to this website. There are two main options available. Full membership is primarily intended for people who wish to open their studio, home or workspace to the public, or who want a full artist's entry on this site. Friends membership provides a way to remain in touch with the group and PAOS events, and to include a basic artist's entry on the website.
