Peterborough Artists' Open Studios

Welcoming visitors to explore local art and craft for more than 10 years

Each year, the artists and craftspeople of the Peterborough area open their studios, workspaces and homes to the public. They reveal the processes they use to create their work and invite visitors to learn about the ideas behind it. It is this interaction that makes the Open Studios event so special. Entry to each venue is free. All the artists will have original work for sale and many will have cards and prints available. Many will also take commissions. There is, of course, absolutely no obligation to buy anything. Visitors are welcome simply to have a look round, to talk to the artists, and to learn about the techniques and materials involved in their work.

2012 promises to be an eventful year! In between the Jubilee weekend and the London Olympics, Peterborough Artists' Open Studios promises to show some of the “Best of British” art - all produced by local people and displayed in their homes or studios. Put the dates in your diary now,

9-10, 16-17 and 23-24 June.

If you are a visual artist, why not take part in this year’s Open Studios? Last year a record-breaking number of artists participated and we would love to add to that number in 2012. Peterborough Artists' Open Studios is one of the most active visual arts organisations in the area. For just £40, Membership includes your own Directory listing, a year-round presence on this website, social events for artists, and the chance to become more involved in the local arts scene, as well as comprehensive publicity for the Open Studios weekends themselves.

The deadline for applications is 15th February 2012.
